ok heres something i came up with when i was bored or something lol, anyways, see if u can understand my puzzlement.

Suppose theres a man who goes around telling everybody he's a compulsive liar, even though he's not. This would mean that everytime he tells people this, he's lying, making him infact a compulsive liar. But if that made him a compulsive liar, wouldn't that mean that everytime he tells someone he's a compulsive liar he's telling the truth, therefore how can he be a compulsive liar?

lol its kind of hard to understand i guess, but yeah, lemmie know what ya think haha.

ooo, good one, i understand but there is nothing to do about it, noone can lie 100% of the time, its near impossible so this is just one of those times.

F0ck daddy i made prowler!!! wtf is a prowler???

played a good joke on a friend today where i convinced him hl2 had gone gold, he wasn't pleased. lol.

it was something like one could tell the truth and one wouldn't, and she had to pick a door and ask only one question, but without knowing which tells the truth and which will lie, which should she picked.. she chose the wrong one but I think there is a solution to it or something

I've probably got a bit of it wrong, so anyone who remembers the scene from the film better than I do please correct me

oh ya, i remember that, she could only ask 1 question and the correct question to ask was "if i ask the other guard which way will this door lead, what will he tell me?" and it would always be the opposite of the truth, cause suppose the door leads to death, and u ask the lying guard what will the honest guard say, he would lie and say the honest guard would say it leads to life, if u asked the honest guard about the door, he would say what the lying guard would say and say it would lead to life. Very complicated riddle

There is no paradox, sorry, it just flat out doesn't work! The problem is with that first line: "Suppose there's a man who goes around telling everybody he's a compulsive liar, even though he is not." <- no such man could exist, since in order to tell someone you are a compulsive liar when you are not, you would actually have to be a compulsive liar, but you are not. Um, yeah that sounds about right.

Its like saying "imagine red is green, but it isn't".

:)

thats why its a paradox..... it opposes itself. And the situation is possible

Bugger! Yes, so it is lol, i appear to have lost track of what a paradox is.

:)

it's like writing on one side of a piece of paper "the statement on the other side of this paper is true" and on the other side "the statement on the other side of this paper is false"
