it doesnt matter what he thinks ..that's passing judgement ...a definate no-no in christ's eyes
He's not doing anything to them as the scripture says. It's a thought in his brain. Something impossible to control. The fact that even with those feelings he doesn't ostracize them is honorable to note his tolerance.

"..note his tolerance..."

as if he's owned an apology by the sickening gay people for their lifestyle :upstare: ..come on..that's taking a bit of a moral highground not too mention the fact that it is a bigoted sentiment

One thing I've wondered: has there ever, ever been a war supported/in the name of/started by Buddhists? They appear to have a clean record...

Thanks Rakurai, appreciate the backup.

Once I finish playing Dark Energy I'll hop back into this thread :E

Cpt stern, heres what the Catholic Catechism says on homosexuals.

Hopefully it will change your opinion of religions being non-acceptant.

"Homosexuality refers to relations between men or between women who experience an exclusive or predominant sexual attraction toward persons of the same sex. It has taken a great variety of forms through the centuries and in different cultures. Its physiological genesis remains largely unexplained. Basing itself on Sacred Scripture, which presents homosexual acts as acts of grave depravity, tradition has always declared that "homosexual acts are intrinsically disordered." They are contrary to the natural law. They close the sexual act to the gift of life. They do not procede from genuine affective and sexual complementarity. Under no circumstances can they be approved.

The number of men and women who have deep-seated homosexual tendencies is not negligible. They do not choose their homosexual condition; for most of them it is a trial. They must be accepted with respect, compassion, and sensitivity. Every sign of unjust discrimination in their regard should be avoided. These person are called to fulfill God's will in their lives and, if they are Christians, to unite to the sacrifice of the Lord's Cross the difficulties they may encounter from their condition. "

Theres a bit more, but my hands hurt, and I think I got my point over.

I've only ever met 4 gays in my life. Two of them, my cousins, both of those are guys. The other two are chicks I know at school. I'm friends with one of em, and I don't treat her any different then my other friends. Actuallly...shes pretty damn cool.

So you make it clear you find gays "sick" when its guys, but you don't say it to their faces.

Then when it comes to gay women, your cool with it.

Funny

I'm friends with my Gay cousins TDE. When I visit them I hang out with em, and talk to them just like I would any other person I liked.

I'm not gonna go up to someone I like and insult them. If they asked me how I honestly felt about it, I would tell them. And I think two women going at it is just as sick as two men. Sorry if I didn't make that clear.

So how is telling someone your friends with how you feel insulting them?

It just sounds like you know your out of line and wont say anything for fear of being hated.

Whats worse, two people who aren't hurting anyone else and are happy within themselves and proud of how they feel to be able to be honest with themselves and the world.

Or someone who acts the friend but finds what they do sick, thinking his own beliefs are the right way, yet isn't friend enough to be honest about his feelings with them.

If you really believed what your saying, you'd tell them how you feel instead of secretly look down on them.

is it me or are priests either homosexual, paedophiles or downright out of line these days.

and ONCE again i bring up the fact that terrorist leaders are USING thier religion to seduce people to become suicide bombers, twisting the words of allah , god whoever you call it.
"when you blow yourself up, and kill innocent people, you will be greeted by god, and personally thanked..."
ive havnt heared so much bs in my life.

btw, i have no religion on my birth certificate.. but i do believe in god.

but i dont think God "made the earth in 7 days" LOL, that is crap aint it :D

if that was true, what did he do on the 8th day? make mars?

Yeah, has been. Far less than Islam and Christianity, but militant Buddhism has existed.

I love it when the anti-gay argument is - "Gay sex dosen't make babies" OK, how many times have people on here had sex and not wanted to get a baby from it?

Yeah, the suicide bomber thing is really bad, especially when you think about how strongly they believe in it. But it's been done by most cultures for hundreds of years - "If you don't go to war you'll go to hell"

see that's a pile of warm steaming bullcrap. Homosexuality is NOT a disease, or a "condition" or even a lifestyle choice. Who in there right mind would willingly choose to ostracise themselves from society, lose most of their friends, family, co-workers etc ..on a lifestyle choice? Homosexuality is completely NORMAL ...btw modern christianity/catholicism bears little resemblence to christ's teachings ...he said "love everyone equally" not "love everyone conditionally"

well 4 people is hardly a means of judging millions of people ...4 people? that's it? you cant possibly come up with any sound judgement based on an experience with 4 people

btw good points TDE. you dont come to the political forums often but when you do you make some good points ...you should visit more often :)
