International compatability?

Basically I am putting my 9800pro from my main games computer and putting it into a new computer i am currently building, to replace it I am going to buy a 9800XT, however what i would like to know is when i go over to the US in February and buy an XT will it work in the UK straight from the box? I am doing this as here in the UK the cheapest price i can find is £350 ($670) while in the US they are $275 ($500).

Is this a good idea,will it work etc..

yeh id recommend just getting a 9800pro instead of the xt, im not sure whether the extra 100 quid is really worth it in my opinion.

Yeah I'd also advise on waiting... the new cards are right around the block.. they should come out in about a month or two.

Yea definately wait, and the only problems you'd probably have with compadibility is if you got an AIW 9800 Pro, because there's a different cable connection. You can get a lot more horse power out of the new generation of cards that are comming out in a couple months for the same money.

Yea, save that money you were gonna spend on the hardware and get games, CD's, DVD's, Clothes, all that stuff. Especially if you're going to someplace a little bit away from a major US city, then things will be like half the price.
