Internet goes down for a few seconds now and then

I have this problem. I remember I had the exact same problem the last time I reformatted my computer. The internet kept going down for a few seconds every now and then. Sometimes it was every other hour, but sometimes it could happen several times within minutes. I don't know what I did the last time but it wore off and the internet got steady.
But now that I reformatted my computer a couple of months ago I've had the same problem ever since.

I don't think it's got anything to do with my router or modem or anything like that. I think it has to do with something in my computer. I'm no expert but perhaps the open ports?? No idea...
Can someone please help me? I hate having this miserable problem!
