Highest Quality in visuals?xD
It looks like plast-o-rama imo..
Although I admit it looks pretty nice otherwise, atleast towards the end of the trailer.
SOUNDS like it could be good if done right however :p
I especially like the Randomized and non-linear gameplay!:D

lol that walking shark was hilarious - no this will suck so badly

DeusExMachina, it could fail miserably though, seeing as this is a starter up game for a new game company!
And ambitious games by new companies = 90% chance of failing imo.:)
Any release date for this? Or will it be showed at this years E3?
But yeah, atleast sounds like the game I've been dreaming off..

You dream of non-stories populated by Ken and Barbie Dolls where you get attacked by shark hounds? weird :rolling:

:p

That's worth sigging!xD

Looks pretty good to me. I like open-ended, I like non-linear, and co-op sounds sweet too. This is obviously a project that is just starting:

It is intended to utilize Epic Games “Unreal Engine 3” technology.

So it's not even on the intended engine yet. Looks like it's modded on the Doom engine right now.

Oh and the shark was a joke, right?

Shakermaker, if you watch the trailer it says "The following trailer is prerendered for ALL AUDIENCES using game content and real-time restrictions"
So basically, it's pre-rendered but supposed to "simulate" what the game will look like xD

Looks amazing. If the game ends up really looking that good then it will be a must buy to me.

Errr, yes? It's the same point I make: the way it looks now will not be the way it looks if it's (ever) published.

I dunno abou tthe game, but I really liked the images of the earth with the space station, and then the night falling, but then again I'm a sucker for that kind of thing.

I was so worried about the responses in this thread that I had to watch the video again....this game looks AWFUL from every perspective :(

damn the fps bits looks bloody amazing.
If you consider the fact that this is not in-game, it's a prerendered trailer, then I don't find it impressive at all, I've seen more impressive prerendered trailers, ala Killzone PS3.:p

Must have for me soon as i saw the teaser few months back. Diff something im looking forward to.

Walking sharks!

The trailer makes the game look a like a rubbish sci-fi film written by someone very immature. And the deep voiced cliché man made it worse.

prerendered? ah ffs i'll get my coat

still if it looks like that ingame then win!!!!!!

oof, waft of cheese just hit my face. Mustof been that guys voice.

Damm the graphics look horrible, so monotonous and devoid of any imagination. Thats pre HL1 architecture. And gameplay seems even more monotonoue and repetitive.

Thinking about it, Starship Troopers would make an excellent MMOFPS if done properly. I was hoping this would be similiar, but alas.

Thats all the Xbox 360, PS3, and PC deliver is better graphics... I am getting the Wii for the better gameplay.

Actually if you read the info section about the game it says that they intend to use Unreal Engine 3, so expect it to look much better.

It sure looks generic.

Except for the huge passenger liner spaceships. Those look kinda awesome.

Those characters look like something from an early 90'es CG video game.

Meh. :(

I loved the way this game looks. The art style is very plane and nice. Just because the game has a difference art style doesnt make it bad. Looks very interesting. Maybe the world they are trying to creat looks like that i love that kind of world.

Not technically, the 360 and PS3 both gives far more processing power than the XB1 and PS2, which allows you to make games with more advanced gameplay.

Yea, a great idea (that I have also been dreaming of) seems to have gone to waste.
:(
There's still hope though, I'd give this game another 2-3 years before it's out. Maybe by then they could improve on some things *coughsharkahemhem*

Jesus, you guys are certainly ripping this game to shreds. o.o

I think it's a very ambitious project, and will be watching it intently.
But then again... I'm a sucker for first-contact type stories.

I wish these guys the best, always fun to play first contact games.

looks very COOL,

release date ? PC version ?

edit: wow, there is a pc version and its using UE3.0 engine, impressive

gorgon.. Please, read the thread..
Not meaning to be a jerk but if you read you'd know they're not, and the video is not ingame in any form..
It's not USING the UE3.0..
It's INTENDED to use the UE3.0, they've not even acquired their final engine and started working on it that yet.. heck seeing as they're a new startup company and this is their first game I'd be surprised if they have the money to buy a UE3.0 license.. That's quite costly isn't it? If anyone have the price for it I'd be glad to know..
The trailer is according to them supposed to "emulate ingame gameplay and restrictions"..
Prerendered + "anything ingame" = bullshit IMO :p
