Introducing.... Sketch mod!

- Before we go any further..... I am NOT copying the name from jian's comic 'SKETCH'. No in fact, this is part of my last name and is my nickname, it was the best I could come up with and therefore the mod is called this without copying anybodies work, End of :D

OMG SLEDGEHAMMAR!

Hi there, are you tired of mod after mod being tactical? or using vehicles and cover to defeat your enemies?
Well, you might have found your haven in this mod then. The idea is to get back to basics, have a ton of fun weapons, a ton of character models, and a ton of maps and just battle it out with your friends.
The plan for the mod is to get the weapon count over 100, as well as the character model count and the map count. This will allow for this biggest possible experience! (and also may take an extra 5 days to upload ;))
I also hate how the mod teams keep all their work under wraps, while although it does prolong peoples interest, it just annoys me and makes me get a little fed up with the mod that looks so good. So my plan is to keep you posted on almost every little thing that goes on! and present you with not the earliest-bug filled release, but an early beta, so you get a taste of what you're looking for :)


So, what am I looking for when I am recruiting?

Player Modellers
- Must be able to make relatively mid-range poly characters, at around 3000 polies.
- Be able to unwrap the model.
- Be able to rig the character with a skeleton.

Now, we need a lot of these, I'll take any player modeller that decides they want to work on something, I plan on having a big team doing this.

Weapon modellers
- Must be able to Unwrap then model.

I could do with quite a lot of these too!

Animators
- These are bloody important! we can't get the weapons in-game without animators!
- Only need to be able to do the weapon firing animations, there is no need for playerr animations, at this present moment.

Coders
- Now, to be honest, I'm not sure how much we need on the coding aspect, but I would like a few :)
- Must have knowledge of how the Half-Life 2 code works.

Skinners
- A weapon isn't a weapon without a texture!
- Must be able to make good metal and wooden textures from scratch.
- Knowledge of how to use alpha channels would be appreciated but not needed :)

Concept artists
- We need some crazy weapons in this mod!
- Must be able to make high detailed drawings of the weapon.

Graphics artists
- We need a new GUI
- A banner
- A background picture

At the moment, Public relations will not be necessary.

Alpha/beta testers
- I would like 10 of these to help test out the mod at different points.

Well.. I enjoyed reading the thread, but, I'm not sure how I could help.
 
Yeah, I highly doubt this will go anywhere.
 
add me on MSN [email protected] i wouldnt mind doing a backround pic as a beta one im still a learner and am starting a mod of my own. How would i go about creating a GUI?
