aGPS + faster internet + costs less = win

Yeah, remember the NOKIA GODDOMMIT - the only reason people are actually buying the iPhone is because it looks nice and it has a touchscreen, and honestly it wasnt worth the EXTRA $250... Now it being only $199 its mainly a nice version of an old Nokia phone (with worse internet capabilities) - just $30 extra. People are so stupid sometimes.

I'm in the market for getting my first cell phone this summer, and after hearing this news I definitely won't rule the iPhone out.

Banned.

EDIT: lol, I thought this was a joke thread making fun of the ad-bot who just posted. Whoops.

Iphone sucks anyways and still isnt worth it.

I didn't say I was getting it, but it will be one of my many options when I end up getting one. I have yet to weigh the pros and cons of any. Personally, I'd like something that will be able to run Google's touch screen version of android when it gets released.

Lol, I thought that ad-bot had taken over DigiQ8's account.

Nothing on this planet would get me to buy an iPhone.
They look like pieces of shit.

Tbh, I'm perfectly content with my Verizon LG enV... iPhone's are basically useless you're a rich kid needing all the latest tech stuff.

Me and my friend thought we found an Iphone in the street, but it turned out to be one of those sliding shoulder-cusions off of a laptop bag strap.

Its over priced, has no spectacular features that make its better than various other similar product, gets gross from use after awhile, and its a Mac product, which means a lot of people who buy it have a "im better than you" attitude.

but it's cheaper now D:

as long as my cell phone rings i see no reason to get a new one.

Now you can talk and do all the shit you'll end up not doing after buying it.

haha wasnt there a commerical about a guy who was tired of carrying a watch, a "normal" cell phone, a laptop, and some other phone meant for texting. so instead he bought an iphone that does it all......not so well.

My phone makes calls. That's all it needs to do. And it was FREE.

You must buy this one with a contract unlike the first one. That's why it's so cheap now.

Apple should stick to the iPod. I wouldn't buy one though.

It's a reason to HATE a cell phone?
People hate iPhone because it's popular or because it's from Apple, some kind of reversed fanboyism.

Am I the only one still perfectly happy with my mp3 player for music and mobile- phone to call/text people?

Or am I out of touch?

I just don't like touch screen things, they get all smudged and crappy in a very short amount of time.

What I'm more curious is how it stacks up head-to-head to other competitors at that price range.

LG, Samsung, Sony Ericsson and especially Nokia.

Well I've been planning to buy an iphone for some time now (from the US), but I'll wait and see what the price'll be when it comes out here. Honestly, though, I'm not too optimistic as most things here are way overpriced, and I think it's seriously possible for it to cost up to 800 USD over here (that's what the PS3 still costs). Hell, my old Moto K1 cost about 500 USD. On, second thought, I''l probably nip down to Austria where it costs about 200 EUR.

You have to activate it in the store, and the plan is like 70,- per month for 2 years.

The reason people hate it is because it received an undeserved amount of attention, it
really did not do anything to justify it's popularity. Imagine if people were paying like
80.000,- for a fiat punto and raving how it was the best sports car, while you could buy
a far better car for less money.

As far as me, I like it a lot. Especially because of the interface, it matters to me more
then to other people here. I would still chose it's competitors because of it's price. But if
you asked me which phone I would want to have regardless of price, it would be the
IPhone.

Of course you chose to revoke that from everyone else?

My phone is a gray rock that could stop a bullet.

I SURVIVE

I bought my Ipod Touch for $100 bucks. Probably the best hundred dollars I've ever spent on something tech besides my E2160.

So how does this fare for people with contracts with AT&T already wanting to get the 3G Iphone? Extended contract term or something? Also, what is the big deal with AT&T and activating the Iphones in store? They say to prevent people unlocking, but how? Do they do something where once the Iphone is activated with a specific sim it cannot be swapped out with another one?
