IPMENT the DOG

Once Dog got his nice shiny hi-res model in Episode One (by Episode Two he gets a liberal coating of dust), you can make out words on his left shoulder plate.

They spell out, in cut-off yellow capitals, ...IPMENT...
...DOG...

There appears to be another consonant right before IPMENT and perhaps a Y after DOG.

Anyone have any ideas what the completed words are?

MIPMENT DOGY?

Shipment, is probably what it said, seeing as he would have been made almost completely out scrap-metal.

I considered that, but it doesn't look like an S.

The way it's placed, it probably doesn't say 'dog' at all, and Alyx just cut the piece to fit with those letters on it.

I'm guessing it might have been a crate with the shipping designation 824u123D0G or something.

Look at the beginning of "DOG" looks like there's another letter there

its clearly "Shipment <serial number>" which is what they do when they ship crates and stuff, it has some kinda ID number on it and its being shipped out. coincidentaly, 3 of the characters back to back in the number are DOG, or D0G... theres, thats it
