Ipod vs. Zune

I read somewhere that connecting Zune to your computer is a hell of a ass job. True?

Not true if you read the manual first.

I read the manual first because I was bored and not the one driving.

I got an 8GB Zune for Christmas and I like it. Software wasn't hard for me to upload onto my computer.

I'm not sure if itunes does this, but I like how everyone who owns a Zune has their own facebook like profile on the Zune website and it keeps track of all the songs you listened to and how many times, and then you can browse the site and see what other people have on their Zune.

Yeah, I like that too. It's like it's own little community . But above all, I prefer Itunes instead of the Zune software

iTunes was just easier for me to use and you could easily edit your songs that's on your iPod

From experience testing loads of iPod's and Zune's, the iPods generated less problems connecting to the computer. Even though I hate iTunes the connection interface between the device and computer is better.

iZune.

I can only vouch for iPod as thats all I have used. My dad's iPod's hard drive failed and Apple wanted $300 to fix it.

I've never spent any significant time messing around with an ipod/zune. Why don't people just get a mobile phone that plays songs? Mine does and I'm pretty happy with it and I'm assuming the majority of people have a mobile phone... Is there some advantage I'm not aware of?

ipod of course, because I have an Muvo MP2 player so I have to support Creative. They're way better thans Nokia.

That's what I've been using, an LG Chocolate V2, and as of late it's really been pissing me off. Only 4gb of storage, the software support sucks, and the music is horrendously sorted on the phone with no way to fix it. Also takes forever to transfer music to it. Just got my Zune today, and the transfer rate is so much faster.

Would any Zune users be able to recommend me some software for ripping and converting DVD's?

Even though the phones I've used play MP3 quite well - Sharp SX633, SE W595 - I never really used them to listen to music for any extended period of time because I find it drains the battery quite quickly. And for me, since I'm constantly listening to music everyday, I'll basically end up having to charge my phone battery every single day. Basically, I'd rather just carry a portable MP3 with me to do that job.
