IR Rifle vs Unknown Gun (same weapon?)

Is this unknown gun the same one as Gordon fires in the sequence with the houses and rollermines (about 6:44 on the video)? If it is, then it is the same gun

Lol that is what this whole topic is about, trying to find out if the unknown gun and the I-Rifle are the same.

and I hav to say that THEY ARE DIFERENT WEAPONS just that

I have to disagree and say the green are also differences...but it's another good comarison.

You guys are on gutter crack. Those are different weapons.

Could you send me both pictures without the drawings and i will draw on the similarities. They are just the same gun seen from two different perspectives.

FInd the picture.

The coloured lines represent the similarities in the gun, the darker colour on the firstperson picture can be attributed to shadows.

We will have to wait and see when the game is released though :cheers:.

I agree except.... If the "Unknown" gun does not make it into the final game, we'll have to settle this through an email to valve (as expected they didn't reply to my weapon inquiry).

and is very similiar to the IRifle

I just noticed it is a difrent gun!!! If u look at the e3 2004 vid, the first strider part and if you follow the guy with the weapon you can see he starts shooting rapidly with the gun (Like a machine gun)

Also in the second strider vid at the pillers you can see a guy with the same gun shooting rapidly.....hmmm very intresting
