BAGHDAD, Iraq — A group of armed, masked Iraqi men threatened Tuesday to kill Jordanian militant Abu Musab al-Zarqawi (search) if he did not immediately leave the country, accusing him of murdering innocent Iraqis and defiling the Muslim religion.

The threats revealed the deep anger many Iraqis, including insurgent groups, feel toward foreign fighters, whom many consider as illegitimate a presence here as the 160,000 U.S. and other coalition troops.

In a videotape sent to the al-Arabiya television station, a group calling itself the "Salvation Movement," questioned how al-Zarqawi could use Islam to justify the killing of innocent civilians, the targeting of government officials and the kidnapping and beheading of foreigners.

"He must leave Iraq immediately, he and his followers and everyone who gives shelter to him and his criminal actions," said a man on the video.

The video marked the first time that an Iraqi group made such a public threat against al-Zarqawi.

It was issued a day after U.S.-led coalition forces, who have been targeting al-Zarqawi, launched an air strike in the restive city of Fallujah on a suspected safe house used by his followers. The attack killed 15 people, witnesses said.

Old news? FoxNews? By far not, here's the latest:

BAGHDAD, Iraq (CNN) -- A previously unknown militant group in Iraq is threatening to kill the most-wanted terror suspect in that country: Abu Musab al-Zarqawi.

The Arabic-language TV network Al-Arabiya said it received a taped statement from an organization that calls itself the Rescue Group warning al-Zarqawi and his followers to leave Iraq or face the consequences.

One masked militant read a statement denouncing the actions by al-Zarqawi and his followers as hurtful to Iraq, particularly the kidnapping of foreigners.

The group has called for the killing of the Jordanian-born al-Zarqawi if he doesn't leave Iraq.

The resurfacing of this story came from a newspost on another GoreSite (which I cannot post here exclusively. This group is threatening to reveal evidence of Al-Zarqwai's connection to the Mosk Bombings if he does not leave, aswell as death.)

There are actually quite a few militias who aren't hostile to the coalition either, but are entangled strangely.

For instance, I read a news story not too long ago about a Shia Iranian funded militia. Friendly with US Forces, non agression pact with another militia that is HOSTILE to the US, and enemy to Zarqawi and anti Iraqi Government forces.

It was like it didn't make sense but it was some old religious tie that kept them non aggression with the anti US militia.

Not all militia are terrorist. Most there are, some are just criminal but not terrorist (don't blow up innocent people, etc), and some are just well intentioned.

Just FYI, your "latest" link is from 2004

Just an FYI, my links as of todays date cannot be posted here. There terror oriented, graphic, and therefore, I'm banned from posting them.

I think that it's crazy to think that there are groups of people who are willing to fight the American Army and the other insurgent militia groups. The environment in that place must be the sketchiest thing to be a part of. They are decimating their own population, and the Allies are sat in the middle of this whirlpool of rivalries. What exactly are they achieving that can be considered possible only with them there?
