Iron Man is awesome

Hellboy was watchable only because of Ron Perlman IMHO.

Antipop, the catwoman movie is evil! Don't watch it!

Edit: But Halle Berry!!!

You know she got a golden raspberry award for worst actress because of that stupid movie, and she actually went there to get her "award".
Nice to see someone with a sense of humour:thumbs:

Stark in the movie goes from being awesome before he is blown up by the stupidly tiny bomb and goes to generic terrorist cave A, to "having a heart". He gains a monogamous love interest, discovers the importance of good friends, and learns to do things for the good of all.

...

The girl waiting for him, the mentor who turns evil, the struggle between his own morality and his own wants, etc. etc. etc.

Except this movie was made much, much, MUCH worse by their attempt to fit Stark's Byronic Hero image into the standard mold, and also ruining the premise of his superhero ability by over-doing the technological special effects until they were nothing short of magic.
So...you're still complaining about stuff that's in the comic book. All that stuff has happened, all of it. That's exactly how the comic book happened. The girl, the mentor, the abrupt shift in character; hell, the Extremis armor he's using now practically IS magic. Even that, "Yeah I'm Iron Man" thing that Riom said was stupid, that happened too. Because REGISTRATION.

The movie was a faithful adaptation of a comic book story that's decades old. It's beyond Hollywood writers typifying it.

What? I didn't read the comics but I watched every episode of the cartoon and he went to huge lengths to hide the fact that he was Iron Man again. I know the cartoon changed and toned down a lot of stuff (like the alcoholism and his general bastardness) but surely they didn't change something that major in it?

Thats kind of the thing...theres been the TV Iron Man, comic Iron Man, and now movie Iron Man (probably even a few others). They're not identical, in the same way Batman or any other comic hero never quite has the same story every time.

Yup, entertaining movie. Kind of stupid and cheesy but definitely still watch-able.

TONY STARK MADE THIS MOVIE IN A CAVE WITH A BOX OF SCRAPS
