Is a Steam skin...

...really a skin in the traditional sense? Can I change the shape and overall appearance of the windows (a la Media Player or Winamp) or are Steam skins more appropriately referred to as "color schemes" or "themes"?

so far from my fiddlings, and as others have found
it seems you have the options to change your icons for valve supported games (eg: dod cs etc) you have the power to change some steam icons.

... but its not really a skin in the sence of the word.. at least not like winamp etc.
it basically lets you change the color scheme... that would be a more fitting description of it.
however I could be wrong, if anyone knows any better let me know.

ps: steam skins can change color,shape,icon's,fonts,images,etc..
