If you are in California, which you are, the activiation should accure some time between 12PM and 8PM.

i think you will have to log out then back in. its sort of like refreshing it. have fun, ill be on tomorrow, seeing how the shops arent open at 10:09pm. ill have to get CS:CZ

Not true. All you have to do is exit. Right click steam icon, and exit, then restart the program, not necissarily re-logon. I find it quicker to restart the program, instead of logging in.
