.:|Is Counter-Stirke Source Dieing?|:.

that's exactly it, valve had the experience/knowledge of a 4-5+ year old game, and they came out with this terrible product.

i prefer 1.6, along with most of the other top clans in aus, most of us are waiting for cs pro, if it ever comes.

I like CS:S more (I've been playing cs 1.5 and cs 1.6) because the gameplay is slightly better IMHO and the graphics are much better. CS:S gameplay is cs 1.6 gameplay + the kills are more satisfing often because of the ragdolls. :)

wait.
so ur telling me that CS:Source has been out for the last 4-5 years? where the heck was i?
the thing u forget so easily is, its a totally different engine and bugs aren't fixed in the same way that bugs are fixed in CS1.6

anyway its pointless discussing this because the comparasion isn't even fair.

Once you play source its so hard to go back to the primitive way of cs1.6
Speak for yourself guy...
-.-
the reason is so many more people own hl than hl2
Or maybe because:
1.) Has more than one character model
2.) Has exponentially more custom maps.
3.) Dosent have the hitbox issues that CS:S dose.
4.) Has 5x more servers to play on

Sorry, but the only things that CS:S has over CS 1.6 is graphics and physics.

/end opinion

1.) Has more than one character model

That's a bad thing... Sure it gives the game variety but you need to scroll over the person to see if it's a t or ct ( at medium to long ranges ) That's why i like source. Nice and easy. :D

1.)Seeing spetnaz and MM run around together doesn't seem logic to me.
2.)CS: Source has around 1000 custom maps, no one hosts or plays them, that it.
3.)I have never noticed the hitbox issues while playing
4.) How many servers can you play on at once?

The graphics are infintely superior, and that's enough for me. Plus, 1.6 has 5x more hackers.

I know the GameSpy states...

but looking at the Xfire stats, CS:S outpaces CS 1.6 every day. And if you check at the end of the day and look at the minutes played, CS:S is usually #1, even ahead of WoW.

So while Xfire may not be a perfect tool, it does show that within some communities CS:S is substantually more popular than CS 1.6.

I am planning to spend more time on BF2 when it is realeased, but seeing as that CS:S is one of the most popular online games right now I do not see it going anywhere anytime soon. Look at how long games like CS and BF1942 stuck around. Source is a nice game and it will have tons of servers for a very, very long time.
