Is Half-Life a trilogy?

I've never seen any official statement from Valve that there's going to be a Half-Life 3.

So is that official, or are we just speculating?

And when I say trilogy, I mean THREE EPISODES, the 3rd being the last one!

Yes, HL3 was confirmed along with HL2.

games do best not having too many sequels./.. i thing for valve it would be best to start a different idea when hl3 is done
