Is HL2 gonna have any licenced music?

I don't know, but I'm a sucker for games with great music. My GTA 3 MP3 folder is huge.

I'm just curious, are there any plans of including licenced music in HL2 or will it all be original and are we expecting only mood seting music, or are they gonna include battle music and such.

You can play mp3's through steam console though. Easy to put in your own songs.

Yup, I loved the original Half-Life music. It wasn't some obnoxious techno with painfully high pitched noises, and not some stupid heavy metal stuff to try and make it seem like you're some insane intense killer(which you aren't). It was upbeat enough for the game, worked out really well. From what I have heard in the videos I have seen of gameplay, the music is probably going to be really good again.

God forbid the idea of licensed music, that would ruin the game so much. Still some of the music heard on the vids seen so far sound a bit to techno , and I really don't remember the music in HL, but still I think an original score is the way to go. And if you get the option of putting your mp3's as you'll be able to do everyone will be just fine.
