Is it possible to export VMF to mapfile ??

Just wondered as the curve function would help me greatly with some Quake stuff as well as Halflife....Its a far superior tool ???

Well its quite easy...i can import mapfiles or (mymap.map ) if that helps. Ones i have made for Eliteforce or Quake but then they are saved as VMF once in hammer !!

My question is can i then export a (mymap.vmf ) back to a (mymap.map ) to load back into the Radiant editor !!!
Basicly so i can convert my maps for use in other games.
 
You can't convert .map to .vmf if that's your question. Hammer 4.0 doesn't save .maps, only .vmf's for usage in Source-based games.
 
Actually you can convert map to vmf....i have done it with some of the Eliteforce stuff as the pic below shows ??? The brushwork imports brilliantly but you must remove all the entities first...This goes for Q3 maps as well.

What i want to be able to do is convert maps i make for HL2 back to Eliteforce or Quake for those gamers as well.
But perhaps thats what you meant...You cant do the reverse and convert Vmf back to Mapfile :(
Pity but nevermind :)
