Is it possible to build a map where 2 or more people can join together and fight the bad guys?

I got the idea 'cause I was playing around with this map:
Combine Onslaught
and I couldn't help but think about how badly I could use a friend to help survive it.

how do you get the ai to work in a dm map...ive placed the combine and the zombies and what not and they do nothing,,,

You don't need that for coop maps.
