Is it worth getting for SP?

Ok I got the demo in CGW this weekend and I can only play SP. Even though I was playing against bots I still enjoyed it. :sniper:

Can you play every map in SP with bots?

Unfortunately, no. I think you cannot play on 3 of the maps with bots. And you can play with 15 bots on 16 player maps only.

there are mods that allow you to play the other maps as well I believe.

You can have quite a bit of fun in the single player- karkand with engineer for example is great fun. (by 'fun' i mean you run around pwning and enjoying watching the ragdolls fly)
I guess its just that you are missing out on the hugest and bestest part of what is bf2 that makes it not worth it.

Not worth it at all. Battlefield 2 is all about working as a team with real people. When you jump in front of your squad leader to take the bullets so he can stay alive, even when you've never seen him before and you'll probably never again, when you yell "TANK! COMING UP THE HILL FINd COVER" over VOIP and your parents and sibling look at you real weird, it really strikes a chord down in there. ;(

Sounds corny, it's true.

BTW, I loved the CGW review. I think the bold parts really portray how exciting it is.

Are you in the SF bay area? I somehow though that magazine was exclusive to here.
