I played the demo and thought it was fantastic but is it worth getting it?
:)sniper: (<-So tempted to put that) )

Might get it when i have played through HL.
BTW does anyone like my new avatar?

To be honest, you shouldnt ask other people if its worth buying or not, its purely down to your personal taste, if you like the idea of the game, and enjoy cooperative games in general, then its definitely somthing you will enjoy, you dont wanna be one of these people who buy somthing because other people do, then complain afterwards that they were hyped into it.

It's definitely worth buying if you play it online (even with randoms). The single player, while ok, isn't worth the money. I don't know why you'd ever buy a coop game for the single player, though...

I like shooting zombies? :)

and i lag alot on multiplayer games a especially this game's demo, the thing is that i'm on wireless and that causes many problems, high ping and stuff, but i cant change from wireless because of reasons that dont really matter, any advice on how i could improve my range and stop lagging?

No. You probably won't get a cd key.

Suicide follows.

It's worth it just based on knowing the community will eventually create a load of new stuff (as well as Valve created new content).

And I agree with perrkele: Though the single player is fun, especially when getting to know the game and learning the areas, it probably isn't worth the money for just that.

Get a good headset and 3 (or 7 for versus) reliable friends and hopefully a good connection or LAN game and it's a hell of a good time.

Me and my mate got this one the same day and we've just finished Death Toll together. It really is an incredible game - it can make you jump and it can make you laugh. There's nothing better than someone on your team shooting a stray bullet at a witch and then screaming down the microphone in terror! I must say, I did it myself today - we'd just cleared out a horde of zombies in the hospital, and we could still hear the Witch crying that we first heard 5minutes prior to the crazy rush of zombies. Me and my friend split up and we were both creeping round the corners looking for her. The lights were all out and I looked through the window on a steel door and her eyes were there beaming straight at me! I 'shrieked' and ran down the corridor, past my friend.. and could hear him chuckling in delight as he saw her run past him after me!

The game really is sensational when you have a friend to play with!

However, a major downside to the game for me is that there are only 4 campaigns. They are each highly replayable, however a few more campaigns would make this an even better investment! Also, the fact that you can only play Versus on only 2 campaigns is REALLY disappointing to me, seeing as its so much fun! I bought the game on the 360 (due to my crap PC and the fact that I could play this on the sofa with mates) so I doubt i'll be able to get any new campaigns/maps/characters (that is if any are released) and I wont have the opportunity to play custom maps - which is a shame. If you dont have many friends over often, then i'd suggest buying this on PC if you can, thats just my advice though - other people may think differently.

Anyway, this a great game and an even better one when you have friends to play alongside!

I hate on-line games.

This is my Game Of the Year and has single handedly restored my faith in on-line gaming and the people you play with.

Definitely it's to be played either online or Lan. I've jumped on with randoms or a few friends and so far I can't say I've had one bad experience. The games very mechanics quickly galvanizes people into working as a team, which is no mean feat. I'd say headphones are an essential though, simply so you can easily figure out your tactics more easily, esp in the final level.

Motherf*cking yes.

I've played this game 20 hours already since release.

I can't wait for community content like the Dawn of the Dead mall campaign.

You are a fool to even waste time to consider it.

So YES!

Bought the game yesterday, installed it and promptly sat down for 4 hours straight with some halflife2.netters (one of whom was Kadayi, a few posts above :D) and it was such a blast.

Once you pick up the most important do's and don'ts and start working as a solid unit then you can make pretty good progress. I found that the teamwork element of the game is what really makes it for me. 4 Guys on mics blasting away zombie hordes, covering each other whenever possible. Just awesome fun.

Buy it !

Buy! BUY! No, really buy. This game will entertain you even after five years.

is it one of them games that you have to play like 6 hours straight to complete or can you come back to it because i might not have time always?

Nah man, you can dip in and out at will, you can even have the AI take over if you need a piss, which is one the most genius features ever :D

Nice :)
and are the achievemnts easy? :rolling:

Achievements should never be easy to get, otherwise what's the point of having them there?

I'm glad there are some achievements that are hard to get. The ones I've received are from just casual playing. There are some that are going to be tough, like finishing a campaign with only pistols... D:

I'll just say, if you don't get it, your missing out.

Unless you don't have any friends, then its worthless to you.

Haven't picked it up as I have to spend my money on other stuff atm, but I might buy it later on. Hopefully some hl2.netters will still be playing it then.

*something I won't comment on below*

It's 3ssence! We played CS:S in the hl2.net CS:S server days :D You don't post much here, do you?

ok one more thing should i get it on pc or xbox 360?

Get it on the PC if you have a decent computer.

Don't get it retail.

EA and Valve will **** you.

Although now that L4D is out and i'm looking for quality Halflife2.net peeps to pwn zombies with i'm feeling a little more enthused on the posting front. We must get together and have a blast sometime. So far i've been playing with Insano, Kadayi, Vectyr and Reginald, all top blokes ! Add me to your steam friends list and we'll get it ooooon sometime
