That seems a little bit steep to me.

For that kind of money i'd expect the best gfx card about and an uber cpu. (not that there's anything wrong with your pc - it's good :) ....... just seems expensive for what you got)

Okay price for getting it through a company, definately above normal price if you bought the parts yourself and built it.

+ insurance the total was £2,000 :(
but it has got good ram yer? not sum shity cheapy one?

Not shitty ram, but it isn't super extreme fast special ram.

Everything seems ok on that PC except for the fact the graphics card is not all that good. To me the price seems rather steep also... I could have built a similar machine that performs better for about £1200.

...oh another thing too! Paying for insurance on a PC is usually a total waste of money as the computer will come under the contents section of your home insurance...

Wow, HP uses Asus motherboards? I thought they were proprietary. That does seem a bit steep, though. My dad paid exactly $1,777 for the specs below:
Athlon 64 3500+
1024mb Corsair XMS 3200
Geforce 6800 GT 256mb 256 bit
80 gig seagate SATA hdd
Coolermaster Case
Some 500+ watt antec true power supply
Asus A8V Deluxe.

Keep in mind though, this is about 915 pounds i think. This is only the pc, keyboard and free games it comes with. We had to buy a router, monitor, printer, etc.

Try to remember that UK prices are over inflated. What you might pay the equivalent to £915 for digital goods over in the USA, we probably have to pay about £1100. The cheapest ATI Radeon X800XT platinum I could find in the UK was at evesham for £319.99 which according to www.xe.com is $621.18 USD

If I remember right, Sony has a PC similar to that at Compusa for about $1800 USD. Think it was a 3.4 instead of the 3.6ghz though. GFX card wasn't as good either. Infact they might sell the same HP machine you have for around $2000.

You got a good PC but probably not what a lot of the more computer savy guys would have chosen. Has more to do with price than performance. Building your own and all, you get to choose your parts and where you want to spend your money. ;)

hmm

Are there any drivers for my computer which are newer then the ones i got on the comp now?

Hehehe US Dollar is worth less now! ( UK gets our stuff cheaper now ^.^ --.... if the shipping is low )
