Depends on what you want it to do.

Video Cards have advanced considerably since 2002; so if you're comparing it to 2005 Models then it sucks (so does mine ATI 9600 Pro). If you can afford $800 for a new Video Card (I can't) then go for it and you won't have one that sucks for today’s games.

Your graphics card is massively out of date.
Its like a tadly updated Geforce 2.
In other words, its very very very slow when compared to damn near ANY card in the last 2 - 3 years.
When it was released it was slower than the rest.
When it was released it was horrible.

I was referring to ATI's X850 XT PE; this Video Card does not suck in any way.

It should work, but you don't get the full HL2 experience, its worth upgrading to. Though depending on your system, it may stutter.

Theres something called google you know, but ill help you once more, decent cards range from about 150-400 dollars.

I just downgraded from a 6800 gt to a 4600 ti. Obviously not out of choice, but it had to go back to it's rightful owner. The 4600's are on ebay for next to nothing, and its more than adaquate in my opinion. Less spectacular, but runs fine.

The Geforce 4 MX 440 is enough to play HL2. I had that card and it was all nice, just dont expect to see the nice water and bump mapping, but the game still looks awesome. Anyways, I don't have it anymore, I have a 6600gt, you should consider getting one

Indeed, you can get 6600 GTs for excellent prices. Failing that a 9800 Pro would do you well.
