Is 'peace' a reachable concept?

Duuuuude...that's because it's so freakin' HOT.

Okay, seriously, you win on that front. But show me one credible news article in which a respected government condemns the war in Afghanistan (not the CURRENT conditions, the ACTUAL WAR). Please.

As long as there are humans, there will be conflict.

I say, lets develop some super powerful/evil AI and let it imprison our worthless asses and use us for energy or something..

You're right! That's the only way we'll ever learn to truly appreciate all of humanity! Let judgment day begin!

Well I'm pretty sure the effects of the war last beyond its duration. I can try and get you one, but there'd be no point - we're being shown the war arsed this country up. Simple.

Also as far as I'm concerned this is just the opinion I've made for myself from reading newspapers, and watching the news. The country was invaded to get at a few people, I don't think that is justifiable, killing tens of thousands of innocents to get at a few people who killed your own.

It's just one big long circle of death, and its not nice.

Understatement?

peace is entirely possible, just not in our or our childrens life time.

If it were possible, we'd all have to be braindead slaves in some totalitarian state... wouldnt work otherwise
