Heard alot about this game, good things mostly. But I need details. How long (roughly) is the gameplay time?, is the plot any good? Will it keep me interested from start to finish? (assuming I have an average attention span).

Well i've just bought it off Steam, donwloading on my laptop now :O

I got it a week ago... briilllllliant game. Love it to death.

2nd most fav game ever already. (next to kotor)

No horrible game, forget about it, get Halo.

SHUT UP SHUT UP SHUT UP

Sorry. I get a little weird when people say bad things about Psychonauts. To the OP, yes, you should get it. I've yet to hear of anyone who's played it that didn't like it.

Say hi to the milkman for me.

I didn't think it was that great. I never bothered to finish it because I got bored.

;( ;( You make baby jesus cry;( ;(

Anyway Psychonauts is ****ing gay kiddy game, play Operation Flashpoint, not thats a mans game.

Seriously though, it's a decent game. I think it's pretty overrated like Beyond Good & Evil.

Psychonauts on the PC is a seriously terrific game. It is loads of fun, has a great sense of style, contains some rather unique gameplay, and was developed by Double Fine--a product of the insanely genius mind of Tim Schafer, who I love for his previous work at Lucasarts. This title proves that he has what it takes to develop great, original IPs...can't wait to see his next one!! We should get a taste soon!!

I love it too! I still haven't finished it yet, but I think it's worth the money.

Wait till Jintor see's this thread tbh.

Oh, man. Psychonauts. PSYCHONAUTS. HOW CAN YOU NOT GET PSYCHONAUTS.

Rob a freaking bank if you have to, just buy and play this game.

...I wish i wasn't so young/lazy that I can't actually download Psychonauts off Steam and add it to my account... I'd need a credit card for that. All I have is this clunky Xbox... blargh.

Yeah. So. Psychonauts.

Go for it.

The best-smelling Sewers are in Paris, France.

I am the milkman, my milk is delicious.

I hope nobody else already said that.

It's a very memorable game for me, in terms of the story and characters, not so much the gameplay.

If the above quote was already mentioned, here is another one that won't be. And yes, I said this. It's me, Raz.

Raz: Can you believe a great battle was once fought here, on the very ground that you now so peacefully graze? Many men died. Some did it for freedom and some for country. Others did it just because they had guns. It's a crazy world, isn't it? Hmmm? Don't you think it's crazy? Hey, I'm talking to you cow. It's because of me that you're not talking French right now. Shame on you, ungrateful cow.

I haven't played it, but I've heard nothing but good things.

Quite worth the money in my opinion. I'm not a fan of the gameplay style, but the characters and plot are very well-done. There are far worse ways to spend money on entertainment then a "kiddie" game that is genuinely fun.

For someone who is fully intending to try both games "sooner or later", which should I get first - Psychonauts or Grim Fandango?

Psychonauts, Grim is also a game you should play atleast once in your life, but you better use a guide, because the puzzles can and will frustrate you to the point of tears, you may commit suicide before you get to play Psychonauts.
So play it first, also play MGS, KOTOR, Abe's Odyssey, MDK2 and other numerous games first, for said reasons.

Grim Fandango is one of the few puzzle games where I haven't needed a walkthrough.

I've only tried Psychonauts (I really need to play it all the way through though, really regret I didn't then) but Grim Fandango is possibly the best game ever (in terms of story, characters, atmosphere, settings and art direction, the puzzles are insanely hard and illogical) so I'd say that one. Do what I did, have a walkthrough next to you ;)

There are no documented cases of alligators found alive in sewers.

Hello, this is my house. Please stay and make pie.

Wave bacon. Receive Cruller.

Fricken love psychonauts.

Looks like I'm about to load up Psychonauts, I'm only about an hour in at the moment.

Psychonauts, just because Grim Fandango is next to impossible to find :\

And you can actually FINISH Psychonauts in a couple of days. Less than a day, in fact. Not... completely, but yeah.

Grim Fandango is probably equally brilliant but probably a lot more fustrating.

My favourite level is still probably the last one. "The Circus in my memory wasn't actually made of-" (Snip! - SPOILEr DUdE)

You're a god amongst men.
Haha. Don't get me wrong, the only reason I didn't consult a guide is because I refused to. There were parts that had me tearing my hair out for days, eg, the part where you have to *SPOILERS* plant stuff on the two planted guys in the morgue *END SPOILERS*

After a weekend without any internet im home and ready to finish downloading off Steam!

Meanwhile got Evil Genius, SupCom and LotR Beta to keep my company :p :D
