is the game Scarface like GTA: Vice City?

can someone tell me more about this game? It looks interesting.

From what I gather, it's like Vice City, except your more of your own boss.

It definitely shares a lot of similarities in terms of mission design and general structure, but they did change the formula quite a bit. The whole game revolves around building an empire and the missions are almost secondary. You basically just leapfrog through the city taking over bit by bit, making more and more money and becoming more powerful.

The gunplay is very good for this type of game and the vehicle physics are more than adequate. Considering the huge focus on running drugs this game has and how you spend a lot of time buying/selling/smuggling both within Miami and by boat from the islands, it's a game that would have benefited hugely from air vehicles to really make it interesting.

I don't know what else to say. It's a very solid, fun game that really gives you a sense of growing power and control. It rapes the movies storyline, but it's still a good game. While it's obviously very similar to Vice City, they managed to do enough different to where I don't feel like I'm playing a cheap GTA knockoff, which is more than I can say for most of the other imitators.

Sounds just like the godfather game. A bad soulless copy of GTA VC with a nice brand name in big letters on the box.

It's better than Vice City, you can go to this group of islands and smuggle cocaine into miami and then distribute it to all your fronts, plus you can buy tons of stuff through your bank (new mansion furnishings, new mansion overall look, new cars and boats, henchmen, fronts like a record company and such)

Scarface > Vice City

It plays nothing like that terrible, terrible Godfather game and only a bit like Vice City. And no, it's not better than VC, but it is good in its own right.

Vice City Stories should be great, as it has a similar type of empire building feature.

vice city is probably one of my all time fave games ..scarface imho doesnt even come close ..at least the pc version; the graphics are ugly, the cities seem dead, the driving is eratic and nowhere near as fun as Vice city ..but there are some nice touches ..taunting opponents with "you ****ing cockroach" never gets old

I havent played for more than a few hours but from what I saw it seemed less "fun" than Vice city
