To believe that we are the only ones in the entire universe is kinda stupid I think. I'm sure there is life somewhere out there, maybe not anywhere near that we'd get to see/meet or anything, but yeah, there has to be.

Its one of those questions we simply dont know the answer to. Do we REALLY know that the universe is 'infinite'? How can we be sure? We havent left our own galaxy yet, so until that time, its doubtful imo.

But i do believe strongly that there simply MUST be something else out there. We might not be the only humans out there. I mean, we're just a by-product of evolution right? WHats stopping it from happening on another planet? Maybe there are loads of planets out there just like this, with people on it asking the same question.

Completely and utterly true... if we (humans lol) evolved purely by chance, and the universe is constantly expanding; then surely there must be other life out there purely based on the law of averages. Surely another life form on one of 100'000'000'000'000' ...(etc) planets has experienced/experiencing the same evolutionary process that we have and are currently enjoying.

Lol... this is all based on theory though...

I wonder if teh aliens have mastered teh internets yet...?

Well i mean there's the whole thing of us sending a signal out into space, then had a signal sent BACK to us (whether this was all a big conspiracy theory, a complete lie or just a rumour i dont know).

now, if the universe is infact shaped like a sphere (the idea that if we shot something into space with enough momentum, for argument sake, that it would not hit anything and return BACK to the earth again), then surely that sphere that is the universe must be INSIDE something else? Its something the mind simply cannot comprehend, the fact that we understand that objects must be surrounded by something.
Its like seeing a colour that nobody else had ever seen. Everyone would say 'oh its a mix of x and y colours'. Imagine seeing red for the first time and nobody knew what it was. You mentally cant imagine it, unless you were there yourself.

Until we take notes from Star Trek in terms of ship design, we arent going anywhere, so we will never know.
