No, I'm not a pirate, I lost the disk, so any help would be greatly appreciated.

No. Where would your PC get the code for windows from, if the CD is not there? If you don't have something, how can you use / install it? Could you play a DVD, if you didn't have a copy of the DVD? I can't believe you actually asked that.

Unless you want to know where to get a pirated copy from. Then you can piss off. I mean, you said you weren't a pirate, but if you were, you wouldn't have needed to ask where to get a copy from.

My IQ went down just reading your question, in any case.

Just borrow a disk from a friend, if you have any.

lol sorry, it did sound kinda stupid, it is just running really sluggish and I want to reinstall it.

i don't really agree with Shasta that its pirating. the files don't really matter unless you have a cd key. if you have the cd key and no cd with windows xp. then if he downloads from somewhere;then i wouldn't consider that pirating since he has his own cd key....if he has one.

Let's not get Shasta on pirating again, please -- for his own sake.

For my own sake? Because I'm somehow WRONG that piracy is illegal? You're afraid I might make a fool of myself for saying piracy is illegal? Please, save your concern for yourself, not me.

The only way to install without the Windows XP disc is if you had a COPY of your Windows XP disc. :O

Does your PC have an OEM copy of XP? (HP, Dell, Gateway, etc...) If so, try to download an OEM copy of XP and when installing use your CD key that is on the side of your case.
