First of all, it's fairly basic common sense that if you write your posts in very large, bright yellow text, at the very least you're going to get told to stop.

Secondly, how was I insulting you? I didn't call you a "bat-eared, vomit-inducing, steaming pile of rectal discharge" - that would have been an insult. I merely asked a question in a similar vein to the one you posed, along the lines of "am I allowed to do this really annoying thing?". I just extended the metaphor somewhat.

It seemed like an insult to me at first (yes it wasn't calling him anything, but it could be interpreted as "I would smash your head into a brick wall if I had the chance" or "I wouldn't mind smashing your head into a brick wall") And apparantly he took it as an insult too.
Or maybe it was just too rough to be polite. You have a reputation for that kind of attitude towards others, you know.
