Looks professional, seems to have lots of music (found 2 artists I searched for) and it's dirt cheap.

Is this for real?

Carefull for spoilers, I'm not touching that, sorry.

Uh, does the fact I have 1700 posts make it any safer? IT'S AN MP3 SITE.

I'm skeptical of it, but it is possible for it to be legal. Has to do with exchange rates and stuff. I don't think the RIAA would like this though.

Anyways, I will never give my credit card number to a Russian site. That is asking to be taking advantage of.

True. But $0.05...if it's safe, I mean...c'mon...5 cents...

Yeah believe me anything thats russian and asking for ur cc details you should be wary of.
Let me know if you want 2 use it and i'll ask some people I know if its a scam or not.

Hell WILL freeze before I actually start BUYING MP3's. THAT, if anything, is wrong man ;)

Just server problems. Think: Steam.

I'm a newby here, and I got scared when after using just for a couple hours, the system halted, and couldn't download anything. I read the various comments in the forum, and found that it happens sometimes, but it's always fixed, so I relaxed a bit. Guess what? It works like a dream now, and I've just dowloaded a number of albums... so it seems that "patience will bloom its flowers" after all...

by the way... regardless if there are problems with the site or not, i believe that it shows more about a person when he's using the "f" word and obscene messages, than about the site... I'm not a senior member, just got here, but would still suggest to act like intelligent human beings, and watch your language... maybe it's just me, but if I were the manager of the site, I'd ban someone giving me messages in such attitude... but, as the title says... it's just a personal note...

Last... the title of this thread is all wrong... this site ROCKS!

somehting still doesn't seem right, how do they make a profit :|

20 bucks is like two albums on other sites ,lets say they're sold to those sites for like 3 bucks each or so. at this rate they'll be losing money fast.

edit: actually, how much do they sell albums for? the record companies or whatever sells em? to the stores?

The site and servers are located in Russia.

- IIRC, the average Russian family earns $40 a week. That means they have a very low labor budget.
- Because of the lower income, companies usually discount their hardware and software so other countries can buy it. Cheaper business costs.
- I doubt the artists and the RIAA are not getting fully reimbursed for their songs. Probably has to do Russian laws, or just disregard for US ones.
- Then currency issues. The Russian Rouble is still worthless the last time I checked.

I probably won't join though... :P I'd still have to pay.

It's legal in Russia, but the people say that the RIAA wouldn't be too happy about it :P That said, the site is fine...so I may eventually join.

about 30 rubles to a dollar, last time I checked.
I suppose the lowering prices stuff all makes sense really, my mom bought like 100 cds for seventy bucks last time we were there, so yeah. a lot of russian pop, but some good songs too :P "beeez tormozov!" yeh.. anyway, whoo.

anyway, I'm still not gonna sign up for that, I'll get my tmbg from tmbg thanks :P
