Is this possible?

I was wondering if this is possible,

Im building a low end server, and i need a way to hook it to the net. Since it will be in my room, it will be next to my regular pc, which im connected to the net thru a wireless NIC. Since my regular pc in my room is connected through a wireless nic and it has an empty onboard lan port, is it possible to connect the server to my pc using a crossover cable, then have it go to the net through the wireless nic on my pc, to the server. Here's a model

SERVER ---crossover cable--- my pc, wireless connect to router--- router --internet

Can i get net on the server this way?

Yes.
I've done something similar except it was all wired. Was at a LAN when we ran out of ports.

Yes it is very possible XP makes it a lot easier too.
1. Connect both wires.
2. Open connections....
3. Right click the internet connection.
4. Bridge it over to the other connection.
5. Done.
