Is Valve going to make a CS:CZ Gold announcement today?

Shacknews supposedly got an e-mail directly from Gabe saying a Gold announcement was due TODAY. Maybe we'll get another, more important, Half Life 2 update?

I'm excited for CZ, after reading about the user-made missions, it will be a big thing for players to beat some of the top challenges.

Given Valve's difficulty with promising things on certain dates, um, well, you decide if they'll say it today. I hope so. They need some image recovery right now.

One of my HL2 conspiracy theories is the HL2 is delayed because they knew if they released HL2 before CZ, CZ sales would bomb.
