There still is no solid mention of Half life 2 going gold?? Its october 6th! The fact that someone at valve said that cs source will be released soon (this week or next) is probably total BS! Surely it wouldnt be the first time someone over there made false promises. Who here agree's?
 
Agree with what?

The only thing I agree on is that HL2 is not out yet. Just sit tight.
 
Gee they kinda have a big corporate company blocking the communication.

Valve can't announce it's gold before Vivendi has.
 
Cs:s will be out before end of this week!

I got well over with the HL2 hype...oooh about 1 year ago. I'm more bothered about when GTA:sa is coming out than HL2. Although i'll be there the day its out to buy it but until then i could'nt give a shit about whether its gold or not.
 
Hey dumbo. There are some hoops valve has to jump through. THE GAME IS FINISHED. DUH. There wouldn't be 5 reviews of the game in magazines if the rc wasn't accecpted. Last time they announced a release date the game got stolen. So have some patience . You waited 6 years allready calm down. What is another month.
 
hate to say it but this is a joke!! it's quite possibly only 4 weeks away or 8 weeks, or 6 months no one knows....But we all know nov 9th Halo 2 comes out..and whether or not halo2 is anygood that is what will rule the rest of the year, people only have so much free time and in the holiday seasons it's a lot less.. If hl2 is not out before halo 2 I won't be playing it till sometime in january. I'll play halo2 till the new year or longer if it keeps my attention,, then I'll move on to hl2.

Get a clue and give us real dates!! This trickle out info junk is just turning people off now...
 
woohoo...GTA:35 and 1/2...all other games pale in comparison to the might which is HL2!!! :D:D:D:D
don't care how long WE HAVE ALL been waiting...
I personally got bored about 15 minutes into GTA3/Vice City..just not my style of gaming...

Yeah cause everyone just loves Halo :rolleyes: We don't care when you're going to play, the longer you don't the better for us.
 
I dont think HL2 will live up to the high expectations of most their hardcore fans, i really believe the day after it comes out there will be thousands of posts... "WE WAITED FOR THIS", or "WTF CRAP ASS wtf is this wastes my 50bucks"...


I personally stopped "loving" the game so when i get it i will be surprised with whatever i get :)...

besides the mp aspect will be great, as well as the mods.

Unlikely, given the rave reviews.
 
Most people arent even happy with the reviews, calling them such "low" scores... like the game should be 100% or something, i really think it will be the same kind of hit as the first hl, like a 95 or so.. Its just newer. :P
 
Only Xbox owners will be playing Halo2, so it's kind of a moot point. As with everything, PC games will always be better in the end, better graphics, better mods, better community.
 
both games are going to dominate their respective markets...

No matter HOW good Halo 2 is, is irrelevant seeing as its only platform is for the Xbox. :)

halo 2 will, infortunately, be put on the pc after quite a while. i personally think the halo series is a discrace, and never saw why people bought it and went mad.

halo 2 can be released on the xbox, although i will hang my head in shame when it comes to the pc.

let the halo 2 flame war BEGIN!!!...lol
 
halo was good because of the co-op mode inside the storyline. Tell me it wouldn't be awesome if you could play through the HL2 story with a friend...i think so.

Anyway, i have always been of the mind that the "fool's gold" post was really not false, but they covered it up becasue of the lawsuit. If we get more info after friday (when the summary judgement is to be made), then we kinda know for sure that the problem lies with this lawsuit. Valve cannot release a Gold statement, as Vivendi is the company responsible for that certification, and with the current situation, i would not release any info until after the hearing on friday, were i Vivendi.

Halo 2 isn't even so much as rumoured to be released on the PC.. and I seriously doubt they will release it considering how little money they made from the first Halo release.

If it does happen to get a PC release, it won't be for quite some time.
 
halo has been dead to pc gamers since microsoft ruined bungie.

I think I'm gonna go bonkers if HL2 don't come out soon. The only thing good with the november 26th date is that winter IS the gamer's season.

No they didnt.

VU predicted November 23rd (26th europe) and that gives them over a month to reach gold status.
