Issue with SLi

I've posted this before, but didn't really get a good response.

When I have SLi on with the x2 7800's I get screen tearing. With it off and only running 1 card, Its good, no tearing. But to turn SLi on and off you have to restart so it gets annoying when I want to play somthing with SLi and when I want to get on like CSS or somthing I have to restart.

I've come to think that HL2 and CSS are not optimized for SLi, is this right?

Even when I put vsync on it does nothing. Is there anything else I can do to fix this problem without having to turn SLi off everytime I want to play any HL2 Based game?

well the new nvidia drivers is optimized so you dont have to restart everytime to enable sli, and is it only hl2 and source that cause the tearing?

I think you are right, it's better to run it in non-SLI mode for HL2.

I only have really noticed the tearing in HL2 based games.

I have 78.05 beta drivers

I still would get tearing with the 78.01

edit: seems to be alot better after that update (81.84)

Make sure vsync is enabled in both your gfx card settings AND ingame, and make sure one is not disabling the other.
