It deletes the prt. file AUTOMATICALLY !

When i compiled my map it was done in 30 sec. Usually it takes around 20 minutes. I felt something was wrong. Went in to the map in CSS and nothing has changed from what i did in Hammer.
I checked the C:\Program\Valve\Steam\SteamApps\[email protected]\sourcesdk_content\cstrike\mapsrc folder before i compiled and found all the files needed bsp,vmx,vmf,txt and (prt).

I found this error while compiling:
c:\program\valve\steam\steamapps\[email protected]\sourcesdk_content\cstrike\mapsrc\Newmap4.prt
LoadPortals: couldn't read c:\program\valve\steam\steamapps\[email protected]\sourcesdk_content\cstrike\mapsrc\Newmap4.prt .

Then I went to the C:\Program\Valve\Steam\SteamApps\[email protected]\sourcesdk_content\cstrike\mapsrc folder again after compiling and the prt file was gone.
Hammer deleted the prt. file automatically. I tested to compile an other map and it deleted that .prt file to. WTF I said !

Whats wrong ? a bug ? How do I fix this ? help

Dont think you are meant to fix it, maps are in .bsp format. .prt is only a part of the compile, no?

If one fail, the next fail and in the end the final build fail: The map doesnt appear "updated" from last build.

So what you need to fix is some sort of error in the map. Dunno what prt does in the build, dont know what you should look for. I'm such a bad mapper :eek:

It was a small wall that was rotade. I removed it and everyting worked !
