Does anyone here work as an IT Support guy or Broadband Technical Support? I have an interview in a week for a Broadband Technical Support Advisor, was wondering if someone could give me some tips please

Ive tried googling, but I dont get anythin of use. Im stuck, I dunno what type of questions they gonna ask me. Theres a 60 minute written exam too!

... It's an interview. Have you never had an interview before? They'll more than likely ask you about your past experiences, knowledge base, your basic skills.

They'll try and get a feel for your personality as well. No need to sweat it in an interview, be calm and confident.

As for the hour long exam, you're on your own there.

Don't stress. Seriously.

I started a long time ago as a techy, and now that I'm further down the road, I can assure you it's a job they'll give to almost anyone who wants it and has the skills. There's a lot of personel rotation in those kind of jobs, which says a lot.

The main thing to do, is don't stress. Be cool and just go with it.

I'm a field engineer for an ISP. The interview will prob be like any other, trying to judge your persoanllity and work ethic, rather than technical ability. I imagine the test will look at your basic technical skills, but can't say for sure as I didn't have to do one.

The best advise I can give, is to relax and be yourself. Also, find somone to give youa practice interview, to get you in the frame of mind.

I work IT Support. It's fun. However, I only got the job because I cracked a joke at the last minute. I was waay off getting the position before it.

I was a IT tech last summer, should be again soon in a few weeks/months. The interview will most likely be like any other. The test will obviously test your knowledge on the subject. Experience will help here i think. I'm not sure whats on the test because i was just given my job :p

Good luck. :)
