Italy issues arrest warrent for 22 CIA agents

Well I empathize with any Italian feelings on it. But I'm looking at it from our side too, and I have to say I side with it more.

The only time I'd think an Italian was an idiot for being mad about this is if it's out of some concern or agreement for the abductee in question, rather than a soveirgnty issue.

that's completely irrational ..by your example you are justifying any illegal immoral act on anything remotely american ...it's almost as if you're inviting terror to be visited on americans

I'm justifying it even though it violated their soveirgnty because it was moral. It's common sense to get that guy out of there. If it had just been some kidnapping of a random Italian I'd be all over this too.

based on what exactly? the US kidnapped him then handed him over to egypt to be tortured ..if there were anything even remotely resembling evidence why didnt he go to gitmo? why circumvent italian and iternational law all together if they had just cause ...this is no different than what Saddam's goon's did, or Stalin, SAVAK, and dozens of other repressive regimes the world throughout ..in your little quest for world dominance you've made yourself no better than the worst of history's despots

Gitmo can't effectively extract information.

No. Due to what he was saying and him being described as an inflammatory subject.

I think the pro-rendition posters here need to be reminded that this guy was under surveillance by the Italian authorities as part of an on-going anti-terrorist investigation. This ****ed all of that up and others went to ground. Let's give the C.I.A. the benefit of the doubt here (Hey, it's Christmas!) and say that he is involved in terrorism. If an attack is carried out by his associates a large part of the blame has to go to the C.I.A for tipping these men off to the fact that they were being watched. It's all bullshit anyway. The Italians will not look for extradition because they lnow the U.S. will say no and they'll look like pussies. I think they're still just pissed off about the U.S. troops killing their agent while he was rescuing that journalist a while back.

Finally, a more practical approach to this.

ah okay, i did not know the Italian authorities were actually building a case. I withdraw my argument.

Quick everyone! Duck to avoid his next giant liberal chin attack!

The CIA should be disbanded. ****ing waste of tax dollars for a totalitarian cause.

uh, the CIA being a disorganized mess Post-Carter Administration is what helped allow the 9/11 attacks to occur due to our lack of intel.

Every country needs an effective intelligence agency, otherwise it is blind.

Don't talk stupid shit.
