I see this everywhere... people referring to Valve as a plural entity. I don't understand...

Valve IS a company. It isn't more than one company. It isn't more than one anything. So why do people refer to Valve saying "Valve are doing this, Valve are doing that"? :frown: Where have our basic grammar skills gone?! Down the toilet!

Are you running/playing any games while u were preloding? IF so DO NOT RUN GAMES. When running games ON STEAM AND WHILE PRELODING CS:S IT WONT WORK. IT froze mine too until I quited the game

Thanks for the tips, but I don't play any steam games. And i've been surprisingly patient with it... I started preloading on Tuesday morning (UK) and it got to about 60% ish within an hour or so. Since Tuesday morning i've been trying it on and off every hour or so (except when i'm sleeping). But it just won't budge! Except for a few measly bytes when i first launch it up.

That said, I just switched it on this morning and I have some activity again! It's a bit cryptic at the moment: all it says is "scanning" in my monitor. But it's got full network usage, and it's been steady for about 5 minutes now. There is hope!
