It looks like this forum is dying away. Lack of info from VALVe is producing less stuff to discuss and that leads to those typical threads like "what's your favourite weapon" or posting more of the newest old interviews, making more of people depressed and it's getting worse. How long can we take it like this? I can't hold... much... longer. I'm seriously thinking to leave the forum, because it became a real waste of time.

Just check the latest topics now and then every day, and close the browser if you don't see anything interesting.

I love when a big piece of news suddenly arrives (e-mail from Gabe, new binks, etc.) and everybody keeps on posting, page after page, debating and analyzing for hours (and days). Unfortunately it doesn't happen very often, but it's a lot of fun!

I feel similarly. There are too many topics that are either desperately negative or unbelievably dull. I often start to post a reply and then realise that I either don't care because it's so dull or that the topic is so negative and the people so stubborn that I can't take it.

I still like Off-Topic, but this place is imploding under the weight of Valve's silence, the ensuing hearsay and the sheer volume of idiots who inhabit this place.

The sad thing is that you actually took your time to search these forums after his messages..

Oh, and realese the game.. sure delay it until November.. it's OK 4 me.. gives me plenty of time to get some cash for upgrades..

yea. by november the 6800gt and x800pro should be at good prices. and hopefully the XTPE be more widely available. thats one good thing about waiting till nov for hl2.

and that might even be part of the reason they might want to wait longer is so ATI can get the 'fastest card for hl2' in ample supply

i think that in a way I'm going to kind of miss the anticipation of this game when it comes out. Everyday i check this forum for a couple of minutes to see if anything new has come up. But lately i have just been getting sick of getting my hopes up then getting them trampled
