sorry if you are sick of my skins hehe, but i can't draw from scratch worth beans! so lately ive been putting some scenes from hl2 on some steam skins ive been working on based on the halflife2 theme in topic, and touching them up a bit.

each pic has the words in them somewhere. i did this theme because i thought it was ironic compared to the scenes gordon witnesses when he gets to city17.

I can't seem to find them in the second pic.

btw, is it ready to dl yet?

Argh I have no time for squinting at the screen to find said phrase!

3 took a bit of time, but 2 is impossible...

Edit: Oh lol just found it lol. In the dark spot of the floor. (In the hallway)

oops ehe sorry, didn't mean for it to be a hunt to find the text, just wanted to try and not make them not an eyesore for the other two pics.

hazar, it shouldn't be too long.

I really like that third one. I think it would be better if you would use a shot of the guy looking out of the window at the combine or something, on the wall next to him. Y'know, something contrasting with the combine, like with a shot of the citadel, or some ruins, or the combines kicking down the door or something. It looks great on the decaying wall, but there's not that much else in the picture besides it.

Just a few suggestions. :) btw, did you add some sort of grainy filter to that last one? It looks like it. If you did, it's a good effect.

thanks for the input. its appreciated

yeah, those 2 scenes you mentioned(2 guys looking out window and combine kicking down that door) im actually planning to make something off them because they are very striking scenes. :)

the one with the wall is pretty barren yea, when i first saw that still shot i could just imagine that maybe that guy had a loved one that used to sit in that empty chair and the combines took her away possibly. a very sad and lonely view

i added some bumpmapping at varying degrees and directions to all the pics for these skins, which is what you see as the grainy, bumpy look. :)
