I have a few MP3 files that will not load into iTunes for some reason. They are of a local band and I got them from my brother. They play perfectly fine in Windows media player, winamp, power dvd and other players.
-I drag the files from a explorer window or go to "File->Add File to Library" in iTunes yet they don't come up in the library or "Recently Added" playlist.
-From time to time when I try to load them in iTunes it looks like the dialog box for moving songs comes up but disappears too quick to read. Seems to just abort loading.
-I've tried moving the files to a different drive, checking file permissions, renamed them, cleared the ID tag fields.
-FYI they are not protected songs.
-Since then I have tried ripping some MP3s from a CD and they loaded fine.
Does anyone have some ideas? I can play them fine in WMP so its just an annoyance for the moment but it would be cool if I knew what was going on so it didn't happen with other files.
Did a quick google search and came up with this which sounds similar to my issue. I know some of the guys in the band use Macs.
While searching google I came across this guy who has 200,000 songs. :O
