I've been awake for 3 days....

As I said, I've always had problems getting to sleep at night, and then waking up in the morning. Ever since I was like 7 years old, I guess.

When I was about 14, I was over at a friends house playing NES and we "were gonna stay up all night and beat Mike Tyson". Well my friend passed out in between rounds or something and then everything was boring. But I wasn't tired anymore, so I kept playing. (Mike Tyson beat my bitch ass, in case you were wondering)

When the sun came up and I headed home, I found I was still unable to fall asleep. I was awake until late in that day (I guess I was up only about 36 hours), and I've had problems with insomnia ever since.

My point is that I think it's possible I permanently ****ed my sleep cycle up really bad that day, because it became a regular problem for me. In fact it happens quite often, [usually only about 32 hours, but] sometimes I am up for 50 and 60 hours. It basically ruined any kind of reliability and normalcy in my life. Shit sucks.

Goodnight. We'll still be here when you wake up. You won't miss anything.

Perhaps.

EDIT: Also, I thought Dog-- made this thread and it was going to be one of those "BUT I LOVE MDMA BUT I LOVE SLEEP TOO" sort of threads.

Maybe I need to attack the enemy using unorthodox strategies!
ie take copious amounts of uppers and wake up next week somewhere else!

idk a third RIP thread would just start to get plain ol' annoying.

I guess what I was trying to say before was that Mike Tyson ruined my life. He's a bad, bad man. I was just a kid, and he knocked me out repeatedly.

Thinking back, I guess I should have just went to sleep after the Sandman.

Anyway, I'm going to bed. Good luck.

I'm not sure, but I guess around 24h is what I manage to stay up for and it's pointless for me to do anything past that time (like learn or try to have fun). Afterwards I fall asleep without a problem.

I on the other had don't necessarily have a problem with getting enough sleep. I sleep on average between 8 and 10 hours a day. My problem however is that I have difficulty maintaining a normal sleep/awake cycle. What I mean by that is that on a few ocasions I've completely reversed it, sleeping during the day and being awake at night, and it can be a real bitch to go back to normal from that.

Well go to sleep dammit!

I've gotten 26 hours of sleep these past two days I've been sick.

Man, if i was taking something and found that I couldn't sleep, I would have been on the phone with my doctor the next morning. I can't function without sleep. I get grumpy, get sad easy, depressed... More than normal, and can't focus. Take some nighttime medicine, and hit the hay, if you haven't already.

I think whatever trace of a reasonable sleep pattern I had went down the drain ages ago.

I usually stay up very late at night but that's because whenever I go to bed early I lie awake for hours trying to fall asleep, so sleeping for me has become a bit of a nuisance. I don't lack sleep, I mean I sleep in quite late so I wouldn't say I'm not getting enough but I always heard it's the sleep you get before midnight that's most important, probably just an old wives tale though.

I've never really liked sleep, from as long ago as I can remember. When I was a little kid I'd always try and stay up after lights out and read in the dark.
