Foxtrot, a member of these boards here, recently brought over a copy of World of Warcraft. Now, me being a EverQuest 2 player, I hardly thought I would enjoy the game. Now a level 14 Rogue Undead, I am trying to find a way to make enough money to get myself a copy of WoW.

DAMN YOU BLIZZARD FOR MAKING SUCH A GOOD GAME!!!!!

(the point of this thread is just telling people that EQ2 is way worse than WoW)

I still haven't played it, ever. I am the only one, I think.

I haven't played, just too many servers. It would of been much better if it was like Eve, with one big server rather then lots of little servers.

I don't think that would be possible - WoW is insanely popular, there's just too many ppl.

Another resistance member here.

I refuse to get sucked into another online RPG.

For me this is a big step. Kinda like an alcoholic refusing a drink.

Im not into those types of games. I wouldn't want to pay to play the game online. But if you guys like it, more power to ya. :)

You've done good Dalamari, admiting it like that :)
Blizzard is such a Great Company :).
Gotta love em for there games but hate em for making you love them so much :).

I played it, but I hated it cause it sucks, so I stopped playing.

I have yet to play it due to my current internet connection. (Come on April!) All these ****ing posts about WoW don't help me feel better either. I swear to god, everyone I know is playing this game. BAH!

You guys have been moving over to Crushridge. Now its lag central

WoW is way too addicting. I've spent way too much time leveling up other characters. My level 48 warrior should've already reached 60 if it wasn't for my rogue and mage. :(

Good man. Star Wars Galaxies nearly ruined a semester of college for me.

Thank God I broke the habit in time.

I JUST turned 50 tonight after doing Zul'Farrak countless times. I finally finished all the quests...finally.

I got my carrot on a stick !

Anyways, level 50 Human Warrior on Magtheridon

Also I have a 42 NE Rogue on the same server.

I haven't played it because I'm afraid of the awesome addictive power that it wields. It's kind of like the One Ring - I have to put it on, but at the same time I know that it would only corrupt my soul.

And cost me $15 a month.

Curse you Blizzard! GIVE US AN AUSTRALIAN SERVER!

Wahh!

*also curse you santa, give me WoW and pay for 2 years subscription! I'll be good! I swear!*

we shall never see dalamari again, at least not till lvl 60 that is

45 Warrior, im just shy of 46 right now. Yes World Of Warcraft is the most amazing online game i have ever played. Just bought myself a Warmonger (a kick ass red and black 2 handed sword with a cleaved end), even though i can't use it till im at level 47, i usually buy my armor/weapons ahead of time so i can wear it as soon as i level.

BTW: Im on Azjol Nerub.

Yes, wow is nice. I am playing it right now. :)
I'm on my lvl 17 NE rogue but I also have a 60 dwarf pally, 10 priest, and 15 undead warlock. Stormrage server here.

I never was into MMO games nor RPGs. Never had a game which I paid money per month. Although I do pay monthly for our clan server's line (few hundred /month split) which is why 15$ per month is very reasonable for supporting server costs which everyone connects to.

This is one of the rare games that has brought a lot of people together who don't normally play this type of game. It's a good one.

I can't stand the following:
  • Monthly fees
  • MMO games
  • Battle.net idiots
  • Anything that removes what little life I have left
so it hasn't been too hard for me to resist the temptation.

Sounds alot like me before I experienced WoW. Now none of it matters. :)

Huge content patch coming tommorow.

lol.

I couldn't have said it better.

I avoid them too-I'm scared of thier power, and don't begin playing them unless I am not in school.

I'm a 50 Warrior now but just last week I was 46 and contemplating buying a new sword. I was going to buy the warmonger as well, but instead I went with the truesilver champion, because a guildmate could make it for me, so all I had to do was bring him the mats and it was all good, no wasting gold.

Mind you, farming Breath of Winds is not the most enjoyable experience in the game.

WoW looks pretty cool. The only MMORPG I've played is Runescape

Not quite, I don't have any cash to buy WoW, so I am looking all over the house for change so I can get a damn copy and play.

'Dunno, rumour has it the WoW servers hold 2500 people (which is hardly small when you compare it to a 32 player CS server or a 256 player BF server ;) [or whatever game it what] )

Edit/ Yep, WoW the most addicting game in the world to me and many many people. My brother hit level 60 on his NE hunter the other day (he plays US servers unlike me) and his total play time was 20days 4 hours when he hit 60...now, considering he started playing just before christmas and he's in the RAF and does 4 on 4 off..that's quite sad :p, almost an entire month playing the game (and he didn't fart about alot, he was mostly grinding or questing).

The problem with me playing WoW is I just mess around so much, popping in and out of the auction house...I play leisurely. And as my GCSEs approach I'll be playing so leisurely that I'll stop playing at all...

...until the summer holidays.

Ah being at Uni i've got nothing to do But play WoW :D So im getting in a good few hours.

36 Tauren Druid on CC. Loving it. RP servers are awesome cause you get to say "hail" :D

bought it yesterday, already human warrior lvl 7 on kilrog, all i can say its...WOW!...the other online game i played was asherons call but this is way,way better than ac.

I love roleplay servers because you end up with huge discussions over whether it's moral to kill horde or something. You get the people shouting "Those horde bastards killed my family!" and stuff, and being really zealous about killing enemies, and then you get people going "they're just the same as us, it's wrong to go to war with them". And then you get me role-playing as an embittered Vietnam trooper, saying "in the end, it's just about killing." :D

The funny thing is when people insist on going "ah, good morrow, sir! Perchance thine healing hands might cure me of my ailments?"

And you say "Sure, whatever."

"Thank you, good sir!"

"Meh, no problem mate, just make sure to look both ways when crossing the road."

Or:

"Ah! Gnolls! This may be a difficult fight..."

"Dude, monsters! Let's kill them!"
