Jack Thompson skin...

Could someone please tell me that something like this is in development? The CS/DM community needs to have a Jack Thompson skin, though I am still not sure if he would be a T or CT ( )

If no one knows about one being made, is there anyone with the talent to make such a glorious vision a reality? I am 100% positive it would be well-received within the community and would give us all a constructive way to get back at him for his evil McCarthyistic campaign against our fun!

It would be fun to then email pics of his body lying in funny ragdoll positions to him, but he might take those as serious death-threats, so maybe not. Still...anyone?

..in all honesty I'd rather see a mod for HL2 ...maybe like that e3 2003 tech demo where you can fling a body around with the physics gun ...maybe make a few models of Hilary Clinton, Thompson, Lieberman and Leland Yee ..combine that with Garry's mod and you'd have a great time setting up various ...err ...poses

I think it is safe to call such an idea satire and I doubt that it would have any effect on the image that people already have of gamers. Did the Clinton skin for Doom make gamers look worse? Were there demonstrations made over the Bush skin for UT2004? Not AFAIK.

The point of games is to escape reality for a while and not have to play by its rules. A life without consequences is a fantasy shared by most human beings and games allow us to achieve that, some to a greater extent than others.

This would have little effect on public opinion, but would make many gamers much, much happier. I imagine its only a matter of time before a skinner with some balls(read: not threatened by what society/Jack Thompson think about him/her) creates this and I, for one, will be downloading it immediately.

PS - Good call Stern. Putting this in garry's Mod would provide hours and hours of outrageous hilarity! :cheers:

OK, your opinion does not matter when Jack Thompson is involved.

In regards to the Bush and Clinton skins, they were not actively campaigning to ruin the gaming industry.
