are you being sarcastic? that's basically the plot of Speed and a dozen other comics, books and is the same premise (with a twist) as D.O.A. which is a remake of a 1950's movie of the same name

I love Jason Statham, I just wish he was in more movies like Snatch and Lock Stock. He just oozes style and cool, definitely one of my favorite action stars. Hopefully this movie's better than The Transporter.


Edit: Heh, it has a 100% on Rottentomatoes.com right now, but only 9 reviews so far. Sounds like loud, mindless fun though. I'll definitely go see it.

Reminds me of an episode of Martial Law. He got poisoned and he had to run about and stuff or he'd die. Actually, I think he had a bomb strapped to him. Did anybody watch Martial Law? That show was awesome.

Second of all, I havn't seen/heard of this story ever, so it's original TO ME. That's all I care about, if I havn't seen it, it's original.

I think Statham is a great actor, just some oddball movies. The Transporter kicked ass I thought, awesome movie...Transporter 2...wtf was that? Too many, "Yeah right!" Moments in it for my taste. I still didnt' hate the movie though, just liked the first better.

ANd crank looks badass IMHO...I really can't wait to go see it.

Ok, look, yes, it has a similar set up to speed, but if we break it down to basic story lines, there are maybe 10-15 original films out there, and none of them haven't been told in story form previously. Its a fact of life, there are no new storys/jokes/anything else.

Also, the point of the film is not that he "cannot stop", it is that he must keep his heart rate as high as possible. I know that sounds finikity (Yes thats a word damnit) but the film would be very dull if it was just him jogging for two hours. Its all about the interesting ways he keeps his heart rate up, mixed with some exceptional moments of british humour and a healthy dose of bang bang action.

For any one planning to go see it - Do not try to take it seriously, its a very much "Sit back, relax and enjoy the humour and violence" film.
