Ok, now I'm kinda scared. It's a fun mod, but if it could compromise my HL2, I won't play. Can someone email Valve and ask or something?

These file sites should warn ppl that the mod contains leaked content...

Dude don't worry, valve isn't going to do anything about it. It's a perfectly legal mod that was made from hl2 retail source code. It's just a weapon that was in the leak that was redone with the legal final version's code.

I suppose you think valve will take away your game if you download a redone half life 1 mod completely redone in source too? Relax man, don't get all worked up over nothing.

All the code is from the SDK, in the form it was from the sdk it crashed often and hard. JB has fixed crashs and added new features to the physgun, like rope mode. He only took the sounds from the leak. This mod is completely legal, only a fool would believe someone would get banned for having it.

BTW, JBmod appeared on the Steam Network Status page for awhile. This is proof Valve can see what mods people are playing.

Yes and he has also made it so warez people can't use it. It requires steam.

Valve has said ehh (i think). Or I have read somewhere that the code for the physgun was included in the full SDK and therefor it's totally legal. they give it too ya so that you can do this kinda mods
