This game has nice graphics but the controls are weird. anyone else played this game yet?

Looks like it was released early for PCs. Wasn't supposed to come out until tomorrow. Downloading now.

the gameplay is sorta of unique. im not into games where u control more than one character or squad. maybe i need to get used to the controls. when u are wounded, u can control one of ur members and kill the enemies and heal ur wounded character so that u can use him or her again. u control a sniper at the beginning and i dun see a handgun on her. u can also control the dude with the machine gun or that chick with a sword and a hand gun, only when u wounded. graphics are awesome. im not sure if this is dx 10, the lighting looks impressive.

Sounds good. The sniper chick, does it let you use TK?

Gonna see if they have plans for a 360 demo soon.

The coolest skill the sniper has is the ability to control a bullet up to 3 enemies and when u hit an enemy, u slow down time for u to see more enemies. she also has telekinesis.

the dumbest part is the control for the chick with the sword. in order to use the sword, u cant use ur right button mouse (primary attack), u have to use the 'V' key to use it as a melee attack.

Wow, what a surprise.

Game looks really cool, downloading.

Well IMO, the game is as mindless as Painkiller, as dark as Doom 3, as cheesy as any given B movie, and has worse mouse control than, well... any other game in history. I mean, it would be passable and somewhat fun, except for the horrible mouse control. It feels completely wrong, as if the testers had never never played a PC FPS. In reality, I'm guessing they tested with 360 controllers. I didn't bother finishing the demo, I quit at the stupid DDR minigame. It's a bad port, plain and simple. First the Stranglehold demo and its unchangeable resolution, and now this shit. Damn Crysis with its delayed demo and closed beta, I just want a PC game that's not a half-assed port. The Orange Box can't come soon enough.

Wrong.

The left mouse button does use the sword. The right mouse button fires your PDW.

And the melee (V) does some sort of punch or kick. I forget which.

And to switch between members, look at them and press Spacebar.

To be fair, it certainly makes it stressful. Still, I wonder if something better couldn't be implemented. I see what they're going for. In truth, it's the only thing that doesn't work well computer-wise.

Yeah, basically you are falling down a well and you have to press up, down, right, left when the icon shows up to survive. I was waiting for it to end so I could get back to shooting stuff, then I remembered the shooting sucked so I quit. Maybe everyone else will like it, I don't know, but I couldn't stand it. If the mouse acceleration bothered you at all in BioShock (I didn't mind it much), avoid Jericho like the plague.

Wow this game is Amazing !!! the lighting the physics everything! You can switch players at ant given time is awsome too. The powers are cool as heck and graphics are insane, Ran like butter with everything maxed at 1920 X 1200 too! Picking this up asap!.

I am pretty excited to try the demo on both the 360 and the PS3 after work tonight. I seriously doubt it will be worth $60, but it could be fun once the price comes down later...I guess we will see.

I quite like it. I don't really think the controls are "clunky" I just think they are different, and I can deal with that.
The ddr-"puzzle" certainly was weird, but it was actually also quite well done, especially aestethically. I hope they haven't spent too much time making these...

All in all I like what I see. Being able to switch characters is also a very nice feature.

I didn't expect anything from this game, but it is on my good-list now.

The Demo was quite short.
It's ok.I Am not that easily impressed to be honest.
It's somewhat dark and the battles can be a bit hectic.
I do like the squad aspect of the game though.Hopefully the storyline is good.

I quite enjoyed it, wasn't what I was expecting. I think the controls will take a bit of getting used to but the demo did throw you half way into the game, there will most likely be a tutorial in the full version.

The ddr puzzle thingy seemed a little out of place in a game like this, kinda reminded me of fahrenheit (indigo prophecy) and.. ahem, spiderman :hmph:

I was loving it up until that ****ing DDR shit.

Jesus ****, I almost broke the keyboard... but I exited the game before I could do any harm. :D

God damn, the game would've been a definitive purchase if it weren't for that DDR crap.

I thought that was a good change, especially the way they did it. It felt different and thats what i like.

It really sucked. Sorry, it just smelled of Xbox360 right from the beginning.

It was bad. Combat sucked and you can see how the game is made with consoles in mind. Not than the port sucks, but mechanisms and designs wise.

Also, i've rather liked the "DDR" sequence, it was a nice change. More so considering how much i disliked the combat.

BTW, how do you use the poweres of the guy? I can only bring his hand of fire out but didn't manage to "shoot" it.

I played the demo through twice on PS3 just have to say that it is a great game, love the action and I am a big Clive Barker fan. The idea of playing 7 different characters through a singleplayer experience is a new one and I love it. Too bad there is no co-op play. Will be buying this game for sure.

I played it on the 360. An action horror game that isn't scary and is so dark that you often can't tell what's going on. Switching between characters is also a pain in the arse, especially in the middle of combat (which often lasts a second or two thanks to your buddies, so there's no point in even changing character, especially when using the big guy always seems to be the best option).

And why do developers think this God of War "push button NOW oh too late you died" rubbish is any fun? The highlight is the telekinetic sniper bullet, otherwise very pretty and very boring.

Just now downloaded & installed the demo.

<15 minutes later>

Looks like i'm going to have to agree with most of you here.

I didn't care much for the demo. It did have Very nice graphics & lighting, but the constant talking from your chars was annoying IMHO. I am also not that big of a fan of games where you control more than one player unless it's in an RPG & even then not really.

I would have enjoyed the demo more if you controlled only one character. Also if the weapons were medieval in nature. As for the special skills, you learn each as you progress.

After dying 30 times in a row, trying to make it down that shaft by pressing the <^> keys, I just gave up, exited out & uninstalled the demo.

I think "Clive Barkers: Undying was much better.

Too much micromanagement of spells and such, could of streamlined the process a bit more (Oblivion did this rather well)

I didn't find the demo all too fascinating.

It was alright but the combat was a bit too clumsy and chaotic and the voice acting was rubbbish aswell
