Monkey Wrench Games are a company setup by college students doing game development. All of the people working on the team work in there own time and all do it because they love making games. We are now currently looking to expand our company for our Mod Asylum.
About
The project started back in the world war when prisoners sentenced to death row where tested on with alpha and beta drugs, after they started to run out of death row patients they started looking in different places for patients. Now the year is 1980 and the Location is Crowthrone Asylum, England after shutting down the west wing for disclosed matters. They turn the west wing into their testing facilities. After making a major breakthrough in their research they found out they can change the Human genes. The three case files that have made this possible are Crane Epsilon 11, Meadowlark Phi 9 and Peregrine Theta 3. After a power failure the three patients manage to escape from their cells.
Jobs
Weapon modeller needed to work with team of modellers to make weapons.
Weapons needed to be made: Shotgun, MP5, Pistols. knives...ask for details.
Experience in modelling wanted, any 3d modelling program as long as you can export to Milkshape. Preferably able to texture as well
Must be able to work to a polycount as high at 2500 to low as 800
GUI Coder We are currently looking for a Visual Coder here at Monkey Wrench games for Asylum our mod for half life 2. The coder will work with a team of people coding and will not be depended on to do every bit of coding but expected to work as a team to get pieces of code done for the mod. Our visual coders work on stuff such as HUDs, main menus and GUI. They are not expected to do visual effects as motion blur as this job comes under Effects Coder.
So far we have 2 coders
One has worked on Half life 2 Mods before and has 6months of Coding behind his back.
Our other coder has 5 years experience with C++ but never made a mod for half life 2, he will mainly help out with the language.
If you would like to apply for this Job you will ask that you have experience with C++, Half life 2 's Engine or Gui coding. WE DO NOT ASK FOR ALL OF THEM, but would be nice.
Effects Coder We are currently looking for someone who has great experience with coding effects and using the half life 2 engine we are looking for someone who can work besides our coder who is implementing our motion blur in to the game you will not be expected to do motion blur). We are looking for someone who can think of and make some could visual effects of a game based in dark and scary places.
Map detail artist which is basically means we have a job going for someone who is good with entities, good with lighting effect in valves hammer and at adding textures. The maps you will be adding detail to will be all ready made for you.
