smudged :P its was originally shaded like the gun concepts at the v start of this thread and i have a layer of that so i cnould show both but this one is more finished :P

Tis a WIP Randomly started it today after Alex, My girl-friend
Sent me a pic of her which made me just go for it :P



Admitedly its not done yet:p the proportions are a teensy bit wrong but i can fix that at the end by adding/ moving hair :P

and some bits sharp/blurred whihc isnt dealth with yet either:p it will be fixed

That looks pretty damn cool. :)

I've got to be honest here, the background looks great - the tree does as well but it seems so out of place for some reason.
 
its meant to :P when tis done i kinda want it to be the hl2 kinda landscape all crapped up burning with one last tree holding on :)

Awsome stuff Joims. I like the tree one and all, but I dont think the purple-ish sky really fits too well with it. Maybe like a grey gloomy type sky would look better. But thats all up to you.

And the gun looks cool, but why is the handle so small? You have kinda inspired me to do something in Photoshop again...

And what did you use to get the lines on the combine citadel? Maybe a 3rd program, or di you do it in Photoshop?
 
i jus used the brush tool, using the shift key to get straight lines :)

The gun was froma scan of a weapon my mate drew, i took it redrew it n coloured it so the proportions were based off of that,

Summat im colouring for a friend, just the top atm taking a while to do, but im finding it really good practice, with my tablet!

what u lot think ? anything i should change?
 
The lower lip looks a bit odd.
The sword needs more highlights... like, shinyness.
 
Ya, her lips do kinda looks weird and the sword needs to have like streaks of light, but other than that its pretty good. :)

The sword also should reflect things in the background a little bit. But make the stuff a solid color with a little transpency. Solid meaning, dont make it look blured, make it have sharp sides kinda...
 
uh huh :) , yah i was kinda confused with the lips:P so i attacked them :o

and this atm is the colour and tone layer, im gunna have soemthing sat on the top for like sharp highlights and textures :)

I think with the lips, the little line underneath the bottom lip, is really meant to be the bottom of the bottom lip. If you understand :p
 
any suggestions for a back ground, i was ithnking just a flat sky blue colour, was playing around in ps and it seems to bring the picture out more
 
Sky blue with clouds. Then make a floor. No idea what
 
I hate my modem.

But the tops of those pictures look seriously amazing. :p I'll post a proper comment next time I'm using someone else's connection. :P

hehe,

did a sketch of an eye( obsession with eyes) while gf was in shower.

went back to it later in day (now) and am making it look more realistic, the first one was a crazy 10 min smudgeness of crazy colour,

im trying to make it as realistic as poss, i prefer drawing eyes with a biro, makes a nice effect so i know the shapes but colour is a large step, which im trying to take forward and thusly practice!!!!:P



AS u can see it is no where near done, i hope to have it all finished at the end of the week, and then that tree one will get done because i bought a 6200tc leet gfx card and it manages to run hl2 so ill be able to get the screens i need for reference :)

What?

By the way, the scroll bar on the far right and the text on the far left make it extremely confusing. I didn't even know there was a scrollbar there until I started highlighting the text and it began to scroll down. Even then it took me some time to notice because it blends in way too well.
 
The actual bar that you move in the scroll bar is practically invisible. Please make it more noticeable, I couldn't even tell what part of the document I was at.


And uh, I don't know how many others agree, but super flashy and graphical and high tech is overcrowding the importance of actual content. It's wayyyy too flashy that it is ruining accessability. I hope you understand what I mean, because I don't know any way else to say it.

heh, it even says "eb.sniks" in the bottom left :p

I've seen this wallpaper before, and the middle image is WAAAY too 80's for my taste. Although Elisha Cuthbert can still flip my switch anyday. I forgive her.
 
itook several wallpapers, and taped them together to make them more distracting (you have a window open covering elisha hey theres another two of her:P

u cant win, ill take the internets
