This is the new Project Dolphin, a project running to count the number of keys you type. The hype started early 2002 with the currently dead Project Dolphin. Project Dolphin was a fairly large project to track how many keys you type and keep statistics of it, and you could compare yourself to others.

You can have teams that combine their err. points(?) too. I've created a team for halflife2.net ... named halflife2.net

I guessed that, with all our spammers here we could get pretty high rankings. I dont know why we should get it, promote the site? Well, dunno. But it's pretty fun too see how much you've written. Since yesterday I've written over 3.000 characters, you can check my statistics here ..

Log on to the site and go to your user options and select "team" you can search for a team there and join. if you need a pass just ask again.. dont think you need a password though.

It keeps track of number, not what stroke. If you're that paranoid about losing a bank account online or something, just turn it off when you're doing 'private' stuff.

True, it only counts how many times you have pressed your keys. Why would anyone want to go through 5000000 lines of text to find your hl2-login or anything like that. :>
I think its pretty cool. Can check on their site how many times i've pressed my keys.

But it's too easy to cheat, there are plenty of accounts that get like 200k keystrokes a day, which you could only get if you install it in a school or something on one account.

Technically, I can press about 9,000 keys/minute with a program I have.. it's pointless, IMO.

Cheating is indeed pointless. But it can always be done. It's stupid, I agree. But I see no point in this whole program honestly

You can set the frequency to hourly, daily or never. You can do it manually whenevr you want. Right click the taskbar icon for settings.

if anyones wondering why i havent done anything, it's because the second i installed that, i could only type vowels (with accents), no consanants and couldn't delete anything (letters i mean, not shortcuts/programmes). my computer started getting screwy, so i blamed that.

I joined for the hell of it. I used to run this before but got rid of it. I also had one that telled how large of a distince my moused traveled. Currently I've only been runnning SETI.
